This event is limited to Arlington County K-12 students (resident of Arlington County or registered in an Arlington County school) familiar with the rules of chess. Participants will play under United States Chess Federation (USCF) tournament rules and conditions. In a Swiss event, each player is expected to play 4 games (no elimination). Games are 1 hour max (30 minutes per player) with total tournament time around 10:00 am - 2:30 pm. Stronger player are encouraged to “play up” in sections above their grade level.
